My boyfriend is tidy and hygenic and always cleans up after sex but not immediately after, no. We lay around and cuddle a long time. Even if its just 'foreplay' type acts, we lay and cuddle a long time before either of us goes and touches up in the bathroom, then back to more holding.
The handwashing thing of your guy could be some mild OCD type thing.... do other things cause him to go spend 5 minutes washing his hands?
