Okay, so I know that there are a LOT bigger and deeper issues on this than "what kind of ring" blah blah blah. I'm not trying to be trivial, this is just more out of curiousity than a problem!

My boyfriend and I have been dating for over a year and we have talked about wedding, marriage, etc. I was wondering how you "clue" a guy in on what kind of ring you'd like? I have always been very "low maintenance" by nature, but I want the ring special.

I know what kind of ring I'd like, but do you have any suggestions on how to tell him? Or should I just let him pick it out and surprise me?
