my 3 year old little girl will not go to bed at night for me I give her a bath read her a book and we listen to her as she talks to GOd and then we kiss good night
And as soon as I leave the room she starts cry yelling getting out of bed asking for things I put her back into bed over and over again
Some nights she is up 2 to 3 hours past her bed time which is 8pm
My sister in law said maybe she was not awake enough during the day so we cut out naps and that seems to help now it only take 1 to 2 hours to get her to go to sleep But still
what can I do I have tryed everything
My mother said just shut the door and let her cry it out even if it takes a month of her crying for hours she will learn that you are the boss and do what you ask of her at bed time
That seems so mean but what else can I do
Does anyone think that will work or do you think that will hurt her and just make things worse and how long do you think I will have to let her cry it out before she goes to bed when I tell her to
and also what doe you think about 3 years not having naps she seems to be fine she is getting 12 hours of sleep a night is that enough at her age she seems not to be sleepy during the day
