I've been on Depo since march 06 and I've noticed that the closer I come to the end of the 3 months before my next shot I start to bleed. The gyno nurse said that this is normal. However, after the shot it stops pretty much immediately, except for this past shot. (my third one) I got my shot August 6th and about 3 weeks prior to it I was spotting and now almost 3 weeks later I am still spotting. Sex was also painful at first where it never was before. I thought that maybe it was from such frequent sexual activity but I went for about a week without having sex, and it still hurt. My boyfriend is now away for college so I haven't been having sex, so I'm not sure if it would still give me problems or not. (inserting small tampons for the spotting hasn't hurt) Please tell me what might be wrong or if this is normal?
