when she feels old enough, go to a tattoo parlor or somewhere else where they do body piercing. like Nekosmommy said, that's where they use a hollow needle to pierce.
the difference between a hollow needle and the gun is that the gun forces a foriegn object into the body, and the body heals around the jewelry (which is why some people get infections b/c the body will reject the foriegn object) and the hollow needle removes the skin/tissue from the body so when it starts to heal, it heals around the jewelry and is less likely to be considered (by the body) a foriegn object.
does that make sense?
it hurts just the same if you ask me....and healing time is just about the same as well.
