I'm 44 years old and I think I've had sciatia for about 10 years now. I'm 5.5' and weight about 150 lbs. I use to think it had something to do with my weight so I lost 20 lbs but the pain is still there. My symptoms range from lower back pain, pain in right leg and buttock, right foot pain to neck and shoulder pain. Other than popping Advil like candy, I try to do some simple exercise which relieves the pain for awhile. Lay flat on back, bring knees up to chest level with feet up above knee and hold them there. Relax your back while holding knees to chest for about 5 to 10 minutes. You should already feel the pain dissappating immediately. I find this helps me and I hope it helps you.
