Well ... think on it for a minute.
IF God controlled everything what would life be? We'd be nothing less than his puppets. He created it, set things "in motion" and let it be. He gave us a free will of our own so that we could for the most part control our own lives. The things that happen in our lives and our families lives are sometimes a result of the choices we make, sometimes it is the result of choices others make. If it doesn't fall withing these two it is what you can just say as "how the chips fall".
