The way i see it?

She's the no hoper one.. The one that hasn't got things right in her life.

Your m-i-l won't agree here but in the back of her mind, she knows that and so she praises her on-going... Your tough right? You don't need it, you've got it all going in the right direction, you'll live.

Did the m-i-l fail her? In her mind? Maybe.

The s-i-l, is way in-secure how can she compete, how can she be "better than you", how can she keep her mother praising "her", never seeing that your better?

The husband, smack his hand, lol, tell him to say " i don't know", when asked what did you get?

Frankly, he laughed, i laughed at him laughing, i mean his mum has a voucher, $60, and the s-i-l tries to do it for nothing, bet i know which one the mother in law really wants? The one that makes her feel like a queen, laying in luxury whilst being pampered, not her daughter doing a kind deed...

If you can feel the above within, just laugh about it, you know who you are, you know what she does, and i reckon mummy does to, just can't bring herself to not keep the s-i-l feeling good....

Silly games sometimes hey?

I would place a bet when mum is very very old, she'll say exactly this one day to you...

Because that's all i see happening here.
