Candi,
All very good questions. My wife and I are doing the program right now.
1. The dumbells you have should be good. My wife has 15's also. She only uses those a few times during the week.
2. I tell people bands are just fine. We normally only use bands. She gets a great burn using bands for her back. You can buy resistance bands at Walmart or any sports store. We purchased ours through the company because we knew they were good quality and would not snap.
3. Again bands will give you are really good burn. Make sure you sqeeze during the contraction portions and you will be fine.
