that the previous generation (baby boomer era) are so opinionated, yet so blissfully ignorant?
and why do you think it is that their kids are extremely apathetic, confused, and so open to anything that seems to make sense?

Examples being - "Back in our day, we used to fight for what we believe in! We'd sit out on street corners and PROTEST!" For what? To save a tree? To encourage government handouts? That's silly. What happened between the time that people took up arms to express their opinion to a time when nobody has an opinion, and couldn't care less?

Why is it that the older folks vote republican because republicans are republican, and not for any other reason outside of them being republican? Even if their republican candidate wanted to sell the country to China, they'd vote for the republican because he's republican..

Or the democrats wanting to vote for democrats because they don't want evil republicans running the country. Even if the democrats wanted to sell the country out even moreso than the republicans?

I mean, is it about democrats and republicans, or is it supposed to be about what's good for the friggin country? Personally, I DESPISE both. Universal healthcare that covers bandaids and no more than 10 stitches and nothing else in under a 6 month waiting period? I just don't get it..

With religions, is it about "I belive in God, and you should too. Everybody does, and if you don't you're not cool enough to fit into my social group of God. I can't quote a single passage out of any chapter in the bible, but by God I believe in God, and BAN GAY MARRIAGE IT'S EVIL!"

or is it more about, "Hey, this book says things about compassion, knowledge, and the absence of vanity. That's a good way to look at people, I wish more would do the same for a slightly more civilized lifestyle."

What's the deal, guys? Everybody here is either from that generation, or a descendant of that generation. What do you think? Am I right in thinking the people that came a little before me spoke out of ignorance and did nothing to educate themselves, thus confusing the out of everyone?
