I just finished reading "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky, which was a quick read, but witty and touching. I love classics, such as your common "Catcher in the Rye" , or "Catch-22", or any of C.S. Lewis' books such as "The Great Divorce". But I also divulge in some science fiction like "The Host" by Stephanie Meyer or her young adult series "Twilight". And in between those I read children's books. It's satisfying to go back and read some Roald Dahl, like "The BFG", because you appreciate more than just the writing or the basic storyline, but more so the meanings behind them that were installed to influence the younger readers, without their conscious knowledge.

My one pet peeve about reading...I must own anything I read, which gets to be expensive. The reason being, I read books over and over again, whether it be in the same month, year or years apart. It's like watching a movie again and understanding the hidden meaning behind a joke. I've never owned a library card, but I'm well-known at Amazon.com. Does anyone else have the pricey habit?
