and you really need to go to the DR or ER, especially if swelling starts or your eye starts to feel pressure. I have had this TWICE - had sinus x-rays both times which were negative... This happens easily if you blow your nose too hard (as with allergies) or pick it or attempt to squeeze a blemish on your face... Just picking it once can scratch the inside of your nose and allow bacteria to invade...
Antibiotics are the only thing that helps and some cases are even becoming resistant to many of those...any pain/swelling or redness in the nose can quickly spread to other areas and the blood or brain - this is NOTHING to play around with... Seriously.
