I just had to utterly give up taking anything my ex said when she was on her period seriously. Was impossible to deal with her, in the end it was just "look, you're on your period, I don't care, stop taking it out on me, I'm not going to get into a argument with you no matter how much you want me to".

What always suprised me is that I'd notice before her, she'd be crying about how she lost a book, or being really unjustly spiteful about someone.... Errr, that time of the month? Then she'd feel totally . Weird how it all works.
