I do a light smokey eye look pretty much every day, but I am light skinned and blonde w/blue eyes, so I use a slightly different color pallet so I don't look washed out.
1. Put on concealer lightly on your eyelid and under your eye to cover any dark circles and create a smooth blending surface.
2. Brush powder lightly over your eyelids and under your eyes (makes all the makeup stick better).
3. Take a black eye pencil and draw a thin line as close to your lashes as possible.
4. Swipe a shimmery bronze/brown shadow over the lid (make sure to cover the eyeliner too).
5. Get a shadow applicator that has a very thin sponge and use a dark brown/gray/navy shadow to go over the line that you drew with eyeliner.
6. Use the same skinny applicator to make a line of brown shadow directly below the bottom rim of your eye.
7. Use the tip of your finger to swipe along the line of shadow under your eye to smooth it out and then use another finger to go along the outer edge of your shadow on the top lid to get a smooth blended look.
8. Finally, take powder and cover under the eye once more and smooth it out to the desired texture/thickness.
