Nancy has probably got the best advice on this, exercise, diet and attitude! At 51. I know I'm preimenopausal but the only time I have a problem is if I've gotten lazy. As long as I'm running/walking and eating right - I'm good.

You might consider a full physical, get your thyriod checked, look for deficiencies.
