obnurse is on a distinguished road
Default re; mammography age

hey ladies, it's obnurse. yes, the advice is to get your 1st baseline mammogram at 40years of age, provided that you are healthy, live a healthy lifestyle and most importantly have no family history of breast cancer. if you do, your gyn. will tell you what your specific schedule should be. i have no family history but i had a baseline one done at 18 to campare others with, even though i know my breasts will continue to change. if you have a lump or nodule always see your dr. right away , but one thing to keep in mind is that at these stages cancer never is painful, and it does not move, whereas cysts do move and get tender at different times with hormone fluctuations. caffeine makes this much worse. you should also get a breast ultrasound. it picks up much more than the mamm. i don't have mamms. anymore i go straight to the ultrasound. bye guys
