my zoom experience
i got zoom done thursday. it wasn't as painful as i thought it would be. my husband had it done and explained it to be alot worse. the 1st 15 min session was the worst though. the gums above my two top teeth were on fire. i wrote down on paper during the treatment that my gums were burning. she said, "do you want me to pause it for a second?" so i thought that was normal so i didn't tell her to stop. i knew to expect discomfort. when we were done she made a comment that my gums were a little red and must of got some bleach on them. she also said they would probably turn purple for a while and to take a pain reliever for it. well by end of thursday they were indeed purple above my 2 top front teeth. today they are purple and look blistery right above the tooth. pretty uncomfortable! i swished my mouth w/ sea salt water & bought some vitamin E gel for the gums too.
today is 2 days later... it looks less swollen and like the purple is going away a little but i smell a faint rotting flesh smell. i am so scared that my gums are going to rot and recede and cause further probs. of course it's the weekend so i called the dentist and they aren't there. so i paged the dr 2x and they never called back! i guess it's a good sign that the pain is getting better and it looks better... but the smell is what worries me. what should i do?
everyone i've shown is scared and can't believe it... it bugs me the most because i really didn't need to do this. people always told me how white my teeth were. i just didn't like some of the yellowing toward the gums.
