If you are working out heavily, and hadn't in the past , your joints may be retaining some fluid for a while, making the scale not your friend. Keep doing what you are doing and the number on the scale will catch up to your efforts.

When trying to lose weight they say weigh yourself once a week at the same time, rather than randomly and daily , it will give you a more accurate depiction of your success.

There are 3500 calories in one pound of fat. Depending on your weight and level of activity your body needs x amount of calories per day. When you eat only what your body needs or a safe amount less and burn calories through exercise you are building a deficit. When that deficit reaches 3500 calories you lose 1 pound.

Don't deprive yourself, you have to eat to lose weight, just make sure its the right things and in the right amounts. Give yourself plenty of water as that helps break down fat. Make sure you are eating in the mornings within the first hour that you wake - that helps to get your metabolism started and burning calories through the day.

Don't eat within one hour (or 2 if possible) before going to sleep. Your body and metabolism shut down to a crawl during sleep.

Avoid negetive thoughts that may lead you astray from your goal, know that what you are doing is going to give results and that you will be happier and healthier for it. Good luck :-)
