I don't really understand why a Russian woman would be more prone to a long distance relationship? Unless you mean Russian mail order brides or something?
I am currently in a LD relationship of 8 months though. And we are as far apart as you two it sounds. It's definitely hard, however when you see each other next the wait is worth it.
