I have finally booted that thing, and this is how i did it....
Recently i have got a new boyfriend, i am not sure whether this has anything to do with it! He does ejaculate inside me, and it dosent make any difference, we dont need to wear condoms.
I tried every single thing they had under the books, drinking apple cider vinegar, tried all the antibiotics, tried detoxing, tried going to naturopaths and changing my diet to lactose free, no dairy etc etc, changed my diet all in all, no sugar, no refined carbs etc. I tried acidpholous pills, i tried buying that femanol online, 6 months supply and getting it sent from america...i tried honestly everything, eating yoghurt, having garlic tablets, buying good bacteria suppositries, using condoms, changing contraceptive pills, showering before and after sex, even refusing to read the blogs on the web because it would bring me down...etc etc. EVERYTHING!
I have found 3 things that keep my BV away....
- 1 cup of apple cider vinegar to a bath (do not put alot of water in, just enough to be able to cover yourself) the more water you put in the more it halves the effectiveness of the vinegar. I do this once a week. Closer to my period i tend to do it twice a week.
- I take two goldenseal tablets a day (natural antibiotic instead of chemical stuff)
- I take two cranberry tablets a day (help to make the environment more acidic)
I have also changed my pill, i have done research and it appears that high estrogen pills show that alot of women on them have BV, i was on the yasmin contraceptive pill, now im on a low estrogen pill microgynon 20ED.
I am also trying to stay positive, with my new partner, i still get worried that dreadful smell or discharge is going to come back, but i have been with him almost 3 months now, and havent got it back, i used to get it to the point where after clearing it up, my partner and me would only have to have sex once for me to get it back. I dont douche, i only open myself up to clean myself out when i have that apple cider bath. Apart from that i dont touch!!!!
I also avoid sugar as much as i can, i LOVE lollies and sweets, and also bread, i try to eat bread only once a week now....i find the discharge comes back a little if i eat lots of sugar.
I hope this has helped ladies, like i said, im not sure if it was the change in partner, or the change in pill, or the change of not taking anymore acidopholous etc....but its working...i get the discharge a tiny bit, when it comes close to menstrual time...but apart from that, IM GREAT!
Hope i help you out, i thought after 3 months id get on here and let you all know, as i know exactly what it was like to go through what we all have!
BEST OF LUCK xx
