My plan of action and answers about safety (Neosporin)
Well, I've been using it for five days now and have had no bad side effects. If you are hesitant ask your doctor first. I personally don't see how it could be any different than cleocin or any other mineral oil/petroleum based antibiotic, but who knows.
I have decided to attack my problem like a doctor would though, and bought a generic yeast cream kit with an applicator so I can put it in twice a day with more neosporin. I'm going to try ten days for starters and see what happens.
If I use it every day I might end up resistant to the antibiotics just like the other stuff. I guess that I'm saying moderation is my approach at this point. When I was doing the light layer, around hour six I would have mild symptoms. It just wasn't enough medicine. So, I think this new approach might bring some resolution to this. I'll keep you posted.
If it turns into a maintenance thing I'm ok with that too. It's a quality of life issue for me at this point.
