Have you ever tried a moisturizer with olive oil in it?? I have some because dying ur hair can really kill the follicals.it works great!! My hair is smooth and silky now. =) also pick up some leave in hair conditioner.all you do is after showering put some in ur hair, then blow dry it.I use it also. Works great.

I actually have curly hair as well so I know your pain *even though you wouldn't know it from my pics* Unfortunately us girls with curly and wavy hair gotta spend a little more to look presentable.
My advice to you. Go to a beauty supply shop like 911. Get your self a hot oil treatment. I like the JooJooba one. Wash hair use hot oil as directed. Get yourself a GOOD CERAMIC BLOWDRYER WITH A DEFUSER! This is key and it has to be ceramic to cut down on frizz and heat damage. I have the Chi Turbo. It ran me about $300.00, but I will never go back to a regular blow dryer again. As far as product goes I use bed head but if you are looking for inexpensive I find tresemme really puts out some good products. I hope this helps a little. Good luck

I would say your hair is in need of moisture and a good haircut. Your hair looks dry and with natural wavy/curly hair you need moisture. Try to get one that doesn't way down your hair so it doesn't look greasy. You shouldn't shampoo everyday but if you feel the need to make sure you use moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. You only need to put the conditioner on 3/4 of the way down and to your ends. It is not needed on the scalp. The produces I would recommend you try is Joico Moisture Recovery Shampoo and Conditioner. Follow that with the Joico Moisture Recovery treatment at 2 times a week. Since you blow dry your hair I also recommend using Joico Silk Result thermal smoother. This heat-activated resurfacing spray creates the ultimate in soft, silky touchable styles. It Locks out humidity while infusing a silky shine. When used with any thermal styling tool, the end result is brilliant shine with silky, soft and touchable control.
*One more thing. When your hair is wet NEVER EVER brush your hair it damages it and causes split ends and breakage to your hair. Definitely use a wide tooth comb. Also try combing your hair in the shower with the conditioner in and let it sit for a couple minutes. I hope this helps you.

and there is a product out called Hair Lotion, comes in a pink and white bottle, it has some wonderful moisturizers and oils in it...use sparingly but it will moisturize great and keeps it from frizzing...can you forego drying it for a couple of weeks? It will make a huge difference. I have naturally curly hair and it frizzes like crazy when weather changes so I found that this product helps to moisturize it and keeps it from looking dried out and sickly.

Looks like split end central!
Get it thinned out and a bit shorter. But don't get rid of that frizz It gives the hair a nice wavy texture and volume. I think you have nice hair you just need to tidy it. |

Man? Goodgirl you attract spam?
Ok, well can I say seeing as you use this in your hair, it is also my secret in dabbing it on my face, I cook and add oil over the areas that would wrinkle, you be the judge you lot been doing it since 25, after going to Greece, oh the irony lol.

Mshayes, this is my first post here ^_^.. I have hair that is a little bit shorter than yours and has loose waves. It can also become a little frizz monster in the wrong conditions.
From the sounds of it, if you aren't using a bunch of heating tools, your hair shouldn't have too much damage and it doesn't look like you color it? Honestly though, while those things do cause damage they can help with the look of hair (but obviously other things help the condition) This is my basic routine.. nothing complex: -I wash my hair about every 3-4 days. If it starts to look a little oily then I will wash it with only water and conditioner in between. -I pretty much always use a stronger conditioner.. let me check what it is.. Biolage Matric Conditioning Balm. It is on the pricey side for sure but the container is quite large. There are some other good ones out there too. Umm.. Dove has one that comes in a goldish tan bottle which worked quite well and lower on the price range. You will want a deep conditioner though (it should say something like leave in as long as desired) -lately, I have started to use a little leave in conditioner with UV protection. -trim your hair an inch every other month to maintain your length, but in your case, you may want to cut off more as it looks like you have some breakage. One thing that helps with frizz I found is Brilliant Brunette leave in shine serum. Makes hair pretty shiny too. You could try braiding your hair while wet and sleeping on it if you want waves that aren't frizzy. You may also consider a shorter style that is easier to style with a round brush and a blow dryer. But, if you wash only every 3 days, if you blow dry your hair straight and just touch up a few spots with a straightener it really isn't too big of a deal. And.. if you reeeeally wanted to and had the money to throw around you could look into thermal reconditioning. It is pricey but great. I got it is Japan for about 100 dollars (I usually cut my hair myself so I felt I could splurge once ><).. Here it is more though. You hair will be sleak and gorgeous.. Hope that helps! |
