Default How can I get rid of dandruff

I have never had dandruff, nor limp hair before. Can you please suggest shampoos/conditioners that may cause this and those that I can help get rid and prevent dandruff. I have also noticed, that with more stress my hair is paying the price (as are my nails), and is limp....

Diet and exersize for healthier living are your long term, permanent solution.
Short termdandruff is dry flaking scalp, probably your other skin is dry too? Drink plenty of water, before shampooing give your scalp a good brushing to loosen the dry skin. Use a dandruff shampoo and shampoo twice. Then use a good conditioner.

You can do an occasional treatment to strip the chemicals off your hair by rinsing with lemon if you have light colored hair or vinegar if you have dark hair.

thanks, I have used tea tree oil shampoo recently and found it made my hair soft. I was going to try a dandruff shampoo but was afraid that with my limp hair that it could be more damaging and heavy....
have a great day

Use Tea tree oil shampoo...it kills all the germs and junk, and helps heal your scalp! Also, aloe vera gel, get the real stuff, usually online, 100% aloe vera gel, and rub it into your hair and scalp, its soooo healing and full of vitamins.

Coconut oil is also another great thing, but its more for shine and helping w/ hair loss, not sure about helping w/ dandruff...but use the tea tree oil shampoo...i think aubrey organics or one of those organic shampoos makes them.

AND use organic shampoos/conditioner...stop using the chemical filled at the drugstores :0

Here are some home remedies for your dandruff problem...

* Massage the Scalp with pure coconut oil. This will also help for growth of hair.
* Apply coconut oil which has been boiled with small onions. Wash it off with a mixture of green gram powder and water drained from cooked (boiled) rice.
* Apply a mixture of almond oil and gooseberry juice with finger tips on the scalp.
* Apply the warm mixture of olive oil, lemon juice and coconut oil. Do a steam -towel- wrap for 15 minutes and wash the hair with a shampoo.
* Apply a paste of fenugreek and mustard to the scalp.
* Crush the leaves of five petal hibiscus flower and take the juice. Wash the hair with this juice.
* Heat the oil with a little camphor. Apply the oil in the scalp and massage for 10 minutes. After 30 minutes wash the hair with a herbal shampoo. Do the steam -towel- wrap for 15 minutes.

The best remedy that you can apply is to keep your hair and scalp clean and healthy to keep away those dead cells from developing. I hope it helps..
