Post Check out a local esthetrician

I recently had lots of acne, and at thirty five--this is not funny. I went to see an esthetrician (sp?) at a local spa. An esthetrician is a person specializing in skin and the care of it. She stated that today many people are not eating as we should and throwing our bodies into an acidic state. Although the skin should be acidic, the body (ie: blood) should not be. She reccomended the book "Eating right for your type" a book that correlates what our diets should consist of based on our blood types. She also reccomended the following. Stop eating highly acidic foods. Stop drinking soda, drink water instead or green/oolong teas. Eat more fresh veggies and stay away from too many concentrated sweets. After a few Dermabrasion treatments with balancing masks at the spa, and the use of exfoliants and whitening masks at home, my face looked so much better! Now it is easy to maintain proper exfoliation to reduce my chances of further outbreaks.

Applying tea tree oil to blemish areas of your skin seems to work well; I have been fortunate enough to not have problem acne, however my younger sister was not so lucky; she uses Proactive as well, which seems to have really helped, along with dabs of tea tree oil where needed. I also use tea tree oil soap I found at the Bulk Barn, which helps control minor blemishes on my back.

I know its not internal but..

You could try plunging a Q-tip in some hydrogen peroxide and dabbing it on only the pimples in the morning and night.

    Unhappy Don't buy it...

Don't buy proactive. I hide my acne with several mineral make ups but I have hundreds of zits and scars on my face. Don't buy proactive it actually made my skin 10 times worse.

tea tree oil will clear it up. Pure tea tree oil. It has a strong smell but you put in on at night and when you wake up you will see a difference. I agree with one of the posters that using too much cleansers on your face will make it worse not better. Don't wear foundation cause this will further exacerbate the problem. Or what i do is go to sephora and get there natural line of make up that doesnt have alot of the harsh chemicals that most foundations have.

Hi, I have tried so many different cleansers on my face to clear up my acne, but it just won't go away! Does anyone know of any kind of vitamin waters or tea's that may help your skin's appearance?

To avoid acne take proper care of your health and especially your stomach. If your stomach is little bit also upset it will effect your skin.
