Default Which deep color eyeshadow to pair with a black dress?

I uploaded a picture of the dress in my "random" photo album on my profile!

I was thinking about doing black shadow, but am afraid black on black will be too much.

I bought a cute pair of silver shoes to go with the dress, so was thinking silver shadow?

I am Asian and look better in deeper colors of eyeshadow than pales colors.

I really want to play up my eyes a lot but without looking like a hooker either.
I have an imperfect lip due to cleft lip and pallet at a child, so I really try to draw attention away from my lip/mouth to my eyes. So I'll probably just wear a sheer or nude lip gloss.

What colors would you suggest with the dress and shoes??

i think black on black will look fine with that dress u could play around with the silver and try silver in the inner corners and the eyelid and put black in the crease and the outer corners.

Def throw the silver in there.

I know this sounds kinda crazy but if you don't have a "sticky" shadow try putting the tinyest bit of chap stick just on your lids and not in the crease of your eye (you don't want the shadow to crease) and then apply the silver shadow, assuming its a powder. That just helps to make the shadow POP. then do the black in the crease and a little underneath. then of course blend it a bit and put a highlight color right under your brow line.
That would look fabulous with your black dress!

I think that with a black dress, it is dramatic and striking by itself and you will not need heavy and drama makeup. If you want to wear eyeshadows, I think black or a deep shining purple would actually look good; but you should "fan out" the colour when you are applying and dn't work it up vry far at all to the eyebrow. trust Me , it looks great for our eyes Silver eye shadow is really beautiful; it looks great if you do the "fanning" method I said before then add a bit of the sparkly silver shadow to the lower, inside lid this will brighten up your eyes. With this kind of dress, your MakeUp can also look great with simple mascara and black eyeliner fanning out into wings.

If you have silver shoes, you could go with a metallic theme by using a steel blue eyeshadow, or even a metallic green or bronze.

Or if you don't want to go for just black, you could go for a smokey grey instead.

You could go with a shimmery medium-dark grey. That way you could get some silvery shimmer, but it wouldn't be "pale." I also like the idea of doing the black in the corners/outer edges of your lids and dusting some silver over the rest of your lids. Pictures when you're all made up!
