Smile Starting to love my dark brown eyes.....

Hey everyone... I'm finally learning to love my dark brown eyes but I need advice on what's the best eye shadows for my eye color. I'm a huge eye shadow fan and have tons of different colors but I need one color I could wear every day without looking too made up. Any tips? (I used to wear colorblend green contacts)

Hmmm,i'de use some darker shades on your eyes,or maybe some light browns? I've noticed that dark eyes stand out more with darker shades, and light colored eyes,(blue, green) stand out better with softer, lighter shades. Y'know even like a light gray would look good on your eyes, but I would just experiment with lots of dark shades and pick wich one best fits you.

I have dark brown eyes too!

You can really play them up by using cool toned colors, it brings out the warm flecks that are apparent in most brown-eyed gals, such as ourselves..

greens, blues, purples all look fantastic and make our eyes POP!

I'm glad your loving your eyes, i've always found the use of color contacts to be kind of cheapening. So many people do it down here and people go for it thinking "O wow I love her light eyes" and then one day Ooops, what happened to the eyes

Thank you so much for the tips! I have noticed that darker colors bring them out more ( i.e. Kim Kardashian) but it seems when I try browns I look weird LOL. I will def try purples and brighter colors like that. Thanks!

I completely agree with you. One of my clients made a comment a couple of days ago about my eye color. She said "wow! you have dark eyes!" I took that as a compliment...maybe that's not what she meant but I didn't want her comments to make me have to go back to lying about my eye color.

5 eye care tips:

Wash Your Eyes: It is important to clean your eyes.
For cleansing the eyes, water is the best resource you
have.

Protect Eyes From Sun: Sun ray can harm your eyes.
Do not glare at the sun with the naked eyes. Always
wear sunglasses when you’re out in the bright sun.

Take Breaks: For those who work for a long time or wear
glasses it’s a good idea to take breaks time to time at
work. Eyes trend to dry out when doing prolong near vision
work.

Look Away: While working for long hours, looking at the
distant objects and then getting back to your work helps
eyes to focus better.

Sleep Early: Sleeping early at night helps. Our eyes are more
susceptible to myopia development at night. So it’s a good idea
to go to the bed early.

Oh what i would give for dark brown eyes

I always find it depends more on your skintone than eye colour. In this day and age there are no limitations are imposed on eye colours regarding eyeshadow.
If you have dark skin I think pops of bright, jewel shades look amazing.
Otherwise I think a sweep of black liquid eyeliner and a shine gloss on the lid is a great look (I cheat and use vaseline!)
Otherwise, purple is universally flattering, just as it is in clothing. Browns in all shades will, of course, bring out the brown in your eyes.
Just play around and see what you like. The worst that can happen is you wash it off and start again!!

I have dark brown eyes too..I usually wear tones of bronze or also brown shades and highlight it with a soft eyeliner (either gray or brown, I don't use black during the day). I also don't use liquid eyeliner coz it's too unnatural for me, so I'd go for non-smudge eyeliners.

I remember also using a goldish eyeshadow pencil. It was great for casual all-girls bonding.

Thank you everyone for all the great advice! I did find that purples and blues bring out the brown a lot more... I like dark colors for evenings! I'm enjoying playing with different shades!! Thanks!
