Exclamation Help! I just noticed I'm not 20; not even 40 anymore!

Yes, I looked into a brightly lit mirror by accident last week and am still not sure it was me looking back. I just saw this woman who was so much older than the week before. Neglecting self played out through lack of sleep, poor diet, over processed hair, never pampered skin, eyelids sagging; oh wow, then I saw that one dark hair slipping out of my chin! I'm 51 and can not afford the more expensive, most wished for treatment options. If anyone relates and/or has some suggestions; please, be kind to an old lady and share. Thank you, A-Quest

Default I understand more than you can imagine

hi i can understand because I love my mom so very much. She doesn't have time to take care of her self because she is alway's so busy with everyone else. She takes care of grand children, her own children and her boyfriend. It is hard for her but whenever i can i go and give her a makeover and she looks soo much younger. Try these steps and i am sure it will knock a whole bunch of yers off.

    1. Excersise it not only makes you look younger but you will feel amazing! plus it helps to release stress and gives u strength to protet yourself. do cardio and lift weights and yummy you will feel.
    2. Healthy diet it is not to late to start a healthy diet it is important that you mostly fill up on fruits and vegetables do not take diet pills! Try this awsome website where u can get help on both working out and a good diet. sparkpeople.com
    3. Apricot scrub is a must have in the bathroom for your facial wash.
    4. Try some facial mask in the morning after you wash with scrub and some warm water to open up your pores. your mask can be a cheap kind just as long as you feel it stretch and stiffen your face up.
    5. try a light astringent to help with the clean face.
    6. DO your Eyebrows this is so important it takes years of a persons face, pluck the crazies and give yourself a lovely shape. not too thin or too thick.
    7. pamper your self it doesn't have to cost you hundreds of dollars just pick a time every week where you atleast do everything for your self like all your beauty stuff, nails, bath with some candles & aroma therapy maybe some music, make your self a lovely meal as if you are being romantic to your self treat yourself like a queen that is what you are so treat yourself that way and show it off. Dye your hair yourself but get a new hair cut in the salon every month. reward yourself get you some lovely clothes and show it off! Have a friend do your makeup or go online to makeup tutorials even try the avon ladies they will give you a makeover. It is really important that you don't forget yourself please you must atleast have 1 day each week where you pamper yourself it is most important. (as to your facial hair pluck it or bleach it)

I hope to have helped good luck!

    Diet and rest are crucial.
You can use all the beauty stuff that was
recommended, but being older than you...
and not looking it...(so having trouble getting
    my senior's discount) ....

    Firstly, wash out.
Take something to make you go out, and
do it once a week for the first month.
this detoxes and will make your complexion
    more glowing.

    Secondly, vegan.
If you can't become a vegan, cut out as
much meat as you can, esp. beef and pork.
Eat fish and turkey and chicken...but try
to eat more veggies and fruit and grains
    than anything.

    Thirdly, diet & exercise
this is really part of two, but you add the
exercise regime and a good diet.

    Fourth...
    think young.
stop frowning and dismissing and being
in the past. Learn new things, see the
world as new and interesting with possibilities.

    LOL! I like this post!

I'm taking heed to all the tips listed here, and I'm also going to add drink water to help cleanse your system.

In cleansing the system rids the body of impurities and helps the skin look much, much better.

    Water is vital.
My doctor continues to prescribe water...
eight glasses, for everything from constipation
    to complexion.

I've been a vegetarian for most of my life.
I'm active, (I don't do nearly enough exercise tho'
as I am very lazy) and eat very little.

    I look about forty...but I'm much older...and
    take size 2.
