The nice lady at the Natural Food store convinced me to try a henna product to color my hair. I'm limited in my product choices due to both chemical and scent sensitivities and can't use any permanent dye products anyway.
I got the whole thing, the color and special shampoo and conditioners. I've done my allergy skin test and tested a strip of hair to make sure there wouldn't be an icky interaction with any residual from my old coloring product. But when I was doing the test strip, even with the gloves I got a little spot of the color product on my finger and found that it doesn't wash off very well. My old product would come off with soap and water if done right away.
Here's my query: I need to get the roots and that is pretty much impossible without getting a bit on the scalp or skin at the hair line. How can I keep from ending up with discoloration that may last for days? That's just not a look I'm willing to deal with.
