Default Need some makeup tips for my wedding!!!

    Hi,
I am excited to say the my boyfriend and I are eloping in September on the Oregon coast!!! As some may know it can be kind of gloomy but it is so beautiful. The only concern is I am not sure what shades or techniques to use on my eyes to make them really stand out in our wedding photos against the gloomy outdoors of the Oregon coast. If anyone has a tips or references they can suggest I would greatly appreciate it. I want to look beautiful in our pictures and for my boyfriend (well, I quess fiance actually) to be in aww when we say "I do!!" Thank you!!!

oooo congrats there dear!! must be very exciting for you! In response to your post, the very first thing that sprung to my mind is maybe glitter? a shade thats maybe earthy and gloomy with a touch of glitter to really bring out your eyes?
    Just a thought x

I would have to say to check out some youtube people. I have a ton of people as friends on youtube who do tons of makeup tutorials. They'll even do requests. Check out these select few that do fantastic jobs! Hope this helps a bit

Since you are looking for a makeup look that stands out quite a bit, I thought I'd share this with you. I just watched this myself and suddenly thought "dramatic wedding" type of look.

Thank You for your suggestions. I played around with some of my makeup and I think I figured out what I am going to do for my eyes but my next question is good lasting eye makeup that isn't to expensive that I can get at a drugstore, Walmart, target etc. Thanks again!!!

    Well,
I use makeup daily and I've learned a lot from watching those girls on youtube.
I've learned that to keep makeup lasting all day you will want to start with a base before applying eyeshadow, eyeliner, etc.
Since I don't have any sort of the fancy eye primers those girls talk about, I use an old foundation that I got that was actually to dark for my skin. I apply it to my eyelid and under my lid. This will help makeup stay on longer. If you have a sephora store near you somewhere, I'd recommend going in there and asking for some tips. They also provide eye primers for makeup. One is called Urban Decay's Primer Potion. It's about $20 but I think it would be worth it. I need to get myself some. So just some ideas to go by.

My friend has some of the those eye shadows and I remember really liking them. We don't have a sephora here but I check out the Urban Decay line at our Macy's. Thank you WM!!!

I would probably avoid too much glitter as it doesn't photograph well. Try eyeshadows that have low shimmer in them and a brighter lip color and lashes. That will help your makeup pop against the gloomy backdrop. edit self advertising
