    Default Does anyone Spray Tan?

I used to tan a lot when I was younger. Like ALL the time...Okay maybe not that much but I'd go to the tanning bed at least 3 times a week consistently even through the cold months. As I have gotten older, I've really weaned myself off the excessive sun usage. I recently started going to get spray tanned, but I havent' figured out how to make it last longer?!

Any pointers? I go and by the end of the 4th day/early 5th day it's All gone. I'd like to be able to make it last another day or two because it's so hard to fit it into my schedule. Especially since I have to wait so long to shower after.

    any pointers?

Try exfoliating with a body scrub before you go, that might help.

im mixed but im very light skin and i found that tan towels work the best my mom got them for me a few years ago from i think qvc you can probably google it, there simple its like a bigger wet wipe you just wipe down your body and the tan looks really natural, you could use them inbetween visits to the tanning bed but i just used those and didnt go to the tanning bed

I used those wipes, they made me look really streaky, it turned out worse than the body lotion stuff. I imagine they would be good to top up your spray tan though.

i think my first application was streaky because you cant really see wear you have wiped other than the wet feeling but once i had the first application i could go over it and then it was a more balanced look so yea if you have a base tan it will work better

I suggest you use an Instant Tan. Such as Sally Hansen, not sure if you have it in the US, but it's really good to use for topping up your tan, and it comes in a range of different shades.

I used the Jergens lotion tan stuff... it does work well - no streaks and it give a gradual natural (not orange) looking color. But it did rub off on my bed sheets! I ruined a set of white sheets I had when I went to bed at night after applying the lotion in the morning...

KM, That was my biggest complaint about old spray tanning! Now I use this one where they spray me with a "clear" solution and the color shows up over the next 4-6 hours.. They suggest you don't shower for like at LEAST 4 hours though and preferably 6 which makes it REALLY hard when sometimes I can't go till after class (like 8 or 9 pm) and then don't want to go to bed like that.

I have light sheets too ! lol

Thanks! I do try to exfoliate before I Go, but it might just be the nature of the spray I guess. It's only going on top of your skin really so it isn't meant to last forever.

I love spray tan, unfortunatley its expensive and i dont do it anymore. BUT, when i would go i would go Tanning in the bed first, then do a spray tan. Because if u just do the spray tan it will be spraying tanner on ur white skin, if ur skin is a little darker, it will look even better and bring out the tan u did before the spray
