Default Hair Cost?!?!?

I just spent $90 to get my hair highlighted, and cut, wow!?!

Was I taken advantage of by her, or is everybody else paying the same amount??

Default Ouch!

Well, I must admit that I have paid more at some places. I think that price is about average.

Default Hair Cost

YEA, I'm going to have to agree with ballerina...They're about 80-90$ to get it done. However, I do think that that is quite a bit considering that it really only takes an hour and a half or so to do it, and that their costs really arent that high. Does anyone else feel this way as well??

Wink Haair Cost

[font="Arial Narrow"][size="2"]Wow!! I haven't spent that much on a cut and color. I get my hair cut for $12.50, and color my own hair for about $10.00!!! You can get your hair cut at a smaller shop and if you can't give yourself the color you want at home, then spend a little more on a color at a fancier salon.

i've paid $100 to get my hair done in highlights, which i think is good because my hair is really really long it reaches way down to my butt.

I have highlights and lowlights. I get the highlights (roots) done every two months and the lowlights once a year. I go to our local Beauty College and they are great. They have a file on me, so they know exactly what my hair needs. I think the most I have ever paid is $32 and that is when they have to mix two different colors. They do excellent weaving and all their work is supervised. When I make an appointment I aways ask for their best colorist. I've been going there for two years and I've had 3 ladies. I love my hair and take very good care of it. I pay more for a microtrim than I do for a root touch up.I have two layers that sit on my hemline and the lady I go to, takes an hour to barely snip the ends off twice a year. I use no heat products, no silicone and I dilute my shampoo. I use my natural conditioners as a leave-in. The Product companies won't tell you you can do this, because then you would stop buying the leave-ins they make that are already 90% water to begin with.
