Default Good shampoo for thin hair?

Okay, so I have really thin hair from Depo Provera making it fall out when I was 20 (am now 27) and I am currently using Pantene - Full & Thick. I have been trying to find something better. This stuff does make my hair fuller, but I noticed it also makes it brittle so it's breaking off all over the place and slightly frizzy at times (my hair is straight and not normally frizzy).

Does anyone with thin hair know of a really good product? Something that worked well for you? I would really appreciate it.

I am also taking vitamin suppliments and drink lots of water so I know that's not the problem.

i'm not sure about the shampoo but i found some info that can maybe help, here are a few things u can try:Mix equal amount of warm castor and almond oil and massage over scalp at least once a week.

Apply a paste of hot olive oil, honey, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder before bath and keep for 15 minutes.
Apply a paste of seeds of lemon and black pepper on the bald patches.

Eat a protein rich diet including green leafy vegetables, carrots, soybean, mango, dried apricots, whole grain cereals, sprouts, lentils, yeast, wheat germ, milk, yogurt (curd), and buttermilk in the daily diet
Make a habbit: Massage the scalp for 10 to 15 minutes after bathing it with water. This stimulates the blood circulation and strengthens the hair follicles in the scalp.
Rinse hair with a mix of apple cider vinegar and sage tea to help hair grow

p.s u can try anyone of those , its all natural stuff. hope it works!!

I heard that Pantene does that to people who have thin hair(breaking ect). After a friend of mine had her baby her hair did the same thing and she went to a professional beauty store and they recommended some good (higher priced) shampoos and conditioners. It made a difference in a few weeks.
Good Luck!

Default nioxin

Nioxin is a basic line of products that actually will prevent future hair loss and will help maintain what you have. Also it will help bring back hair if the follicel is dormat. Nioxin is a great product. They have shampoos and conditioner also treatments for the scalp for more aggressive hairloss. Although a majority of my clients i see with the same problem I usually will see if they have thyroid problem. Thyroid problems are the major cause of hair loss in women.

good luck

Kill the Pantene. Go for a professional thickening shampoo and conditioner. I recommend Paul Mitchell thickening shampoo to a lot of my clients and have not heard of any frizziness complaints.

I agree, that Nioxin is good. Its probably better than Paul Mitchell for your circumstance. ie thinning hair due to meds.

My hair dresser told me that pantene is a really strong shampoo and could be too strong for some types of hair. Altough i do use pantene for full and think, i however, always change my shampoos, i heard its good to keep changing it.
i also sometimes try those hair tips that i previously posted on this thread and it helps, i have reaLLY LONG hair all the way down to my butt and its thick. Carrot oil is another good nutrient for hair especially thin damaged hair.

Try Nioxin Bionutrients System 1 for Natural (not chemically treated) Fine and Thinning Hair. They have a whole system and it actually works. My hair started falling out from stress and Ibuprofen and this has really helped. It has minimized the loss and has allowed for the new growth to be stronger. It is not cheap but worth it. You need to use the cleanser and scalp therapy in conjuction.

I had problems with hair loss and got over it with H3 Revitalizing shampoo from Aslaskin which contains Extracts from Burdock, Horse Tail, Birch Tree, Rosemary and all kinds of other natural stuff. It works perfectly for me, have you ever tried it? More than this, it's not chemically treated.
