    Talking Home-Made Beauty stuff?

Okay, so I have been experimenting with home made beauty tips. I've been trying an assortment of different things.
Baking Soda in the hair, followed by apple cider vinager. (Left my hair looking really good, but feeling gross and dry)
Baking Soda followed by egg yolks mixed with baby oil. (Left my hair feeling really clean, but looking greasy.)
There are no happy mediums with that! Haha
As for skin care, I tried egg whites mixed with lemon juice. (Left my skin feeling super clean and refreshed!)
And finally for teeth, I tried the old baking soda mixed with hydrogen peroxide trick, it worked amazingly!

Now, do you ladies have any other home made remedies that I could try? Thanks!

Okay, I know this thread is old, but, whatever.

The baking soda ACV thing takes anywhere from 1-3 weeks before you start getting the benefits from it. The reason? Our hair is so used to misc. chemical products, that it takes time to adjust to a more natural routine, but it is well worth it. I always pre-mix the ACV with water (about 50/50) in a bottle, so that it's not going onto my hair at full strength.

Take a coffee grinder and mix oatmeal, powdered milk, and flax seeds. Grind into a fine powder. Apply daily with a little bit of water to your face, and let harden into a mask. Gently rinse with warm water, and then follow with a few spritzes of rose water. Then, take a small amount of raw local honey (usually I use the tip of my pinky, but it will take a few tries to get the right amount), mix with a bit of rose water. Rub your palms together to "melt" the honey, and apply to your face. Once that dries, apply an oil mix of your choice (or straight vitamin E) in a very thin layer. Again, it may take a few tries to find the right balance, but it works wonders for your skin.

Raw local honey mixed with sugar is also a great exfoliating scrub for use in the shower.

Don't like spending lots of money on expensive body wash? Mix sweet almond oil, avocado oil, and vitamin E oil with brown sugar. Very moisturizing, and the sugar helps exfoliate all the old dead skin away, leaving you with a beautiful glow.

Tea tree oil added into your shampoo (or with baking soda, if you're using the natural method ), helps prevent dandruff as well as things like head lice. It's a great preventative for those with kids.

Mayo works well for dead dry skin, as well. Before I had my dandruff oil mixed, I would apply mayo straight to my scalp, and it helps get rid of the dry skin. I've found it to not be a long term solution, but worked well for going out and about for the day. Although, the smell is nauseating.

Speaking of dandruff oil, I've had a problem recently with very dry skin on my scalp (lots of camping + weather + not having regular shower facilities = disaster), so I put together an oil blend. It's a combination of Vitamin E, sweet almond oil, eucalyptus oil (not the EO, but a blend I found at CVS), and walnut oil. Combine in a container you can easily pour from, and once blended add a few drops of tea tree oil (just enough so you can start to smell it). Used daily it cleared up my scalp in about 4 days. Apply to skin and scrub/massage into your scalp. I leave mine sit for at least 20 minutes, but will frequently leave it in longer while I take care of other stuff around the house. Can be used once weekly, as well, and is great for your hair, too! I also use this same blend after I shower and wash my face to moisturize.

Witch hazel is a great toner, as well as a mild antiseptic. I use it after I shave to help prevent razor bumps and in grown hairs. Combined with rose water it is just delightful.

for my home made facial mask, just oatmeal and lime, or oatmeal with strawberry,

This ingredients are good for anti oxidant and get your face smooth.
