Beware of anybody that claims anything is "best". Just because it works well for you, and I'm glad that it does, does not make it the "best".
We are all unique unto ourselves and some of the claims that are made in here, border on being ridiculous....
Yes olive oil is really great for dry skin.

I think that we have concluded that the "best" oil to use on a dry skin is relative to your skin type. However, we also somewhat agreed at the fact that natural oil is the "best", depending on how your skin reacts to it. Natural oils that we can use are olive oil, almond oil, virgin coconut oil, etc. You can either apply these on your skin (topical application) and/or eat the fruit - the main source.
