    Default Stretch Marks

So, I gained some weight over some time and that led to stretch marks on my hips, top thighs, and inside of my thighs. I'm in the weight loss process and when I've lost all the weight I want to lose I don't want the stretch marks to stick around. I've tried a number of creams and lotions but it takes forever for them to work and get rid of them. Is there anything else I can do? other then the lotions and creams?

I use Bio oil from the grocery store (i.e. Walmart). Coconut oil would also work but any of these will not completely make the marks disappear. Tummy tuck (for the midsection) would help but is costly. Do some more toning exercises as well. Other than that, I cannot think of anything else.

Once the skin is stretched to the point of creating stretch marks, you're stuck with them.

    I would:

    A. Raise/remove all of the mirrors in my house, high enough so as not to be able to see the effected areas.

    B. Realize/recognize that where you see bumps, bulges and imperfections...the man who loves you sees only curves!

Congratulations on your weight loss. Nothing beats extending your own life...stretch marks or not.

I used Excel Skin Care's brand, an excellent all purpose cream. The cream is good on its own but works much better with their anti aging serums. They have a store on Amazon and you should go there for the best buys. Stretch marks will go but you have to be consistent. Good luck and keep at it.

I have tried a fairly new product and it worked really well on my hips and tummy. I don't think anything will completely get rid of them, but Skincerity worked really well for me and a few of my friends. Can I post a websit on here?

No, WH does not allow posting of outbound links. Since you gave the OP the name of the product, she can look it up on her own. Thanks for asking.

I recently had a baby and got a few stretch marks on my lower tummy. A friend of mine told me to try a scar remover...since they pretty much are scars..makes sense.Haven't tried anything yet though. anything with silicon ingredients...oh and onion extract? idk. Hopefully you find something that works!

I would hurry if I were you. The only chance you have of reducing stretchmarks, is when they are still new and pink looking. Once they are white, you are stuck with them forever. =[ I had to learn the hard way. Vitamin E oil is the best I believe.

I used to have HORRIBLE stretch marks all over my body and for the longest time I used Jergens Coco Butter for stretch marks, but it didn't work for me. Since I've been working out, the stretch marks are slowly fading and aren't as bad as they used to be. There are a ton of stretch mark creams on the market. My advice is to one day when you go to the store, look at the different brands, and make a list. When you go home, take that list and look up each different cream you saw. And from there, get one you think may work and use process of elimanation to find one that works.
