Make a body scrub
|
If you're looking for an excellent exfoliant without dyes and preservatives, consider making it yourself. Try this recipe from Red Mountain Spa in St. George, Utah, which packs a twofold punch: The sea salt and oatmeal exfoliate skin, while the aromatherapeutic oils and honey moisturize, leaving a sweet ( but not overpowering) scent.
Sweeter Than Honey Body Glow
1 cup sea salt
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup oatmeal
5 drops of your favourite relaxing aromatherapy oil. such as lavender or chamomile
1 cup unscented grapeseed oil
Mix sea salt, honey, oatmeal, and aromatherapy oil in a medium bowl. Add grapeseed oil (a carrier oil sold in health stores, bath shops, and spas) until mixture is soaked. Stir well; scoop into a clean container. Use fingers or a sea sponge to apply to moist skin. Refrigerate in a sealed container for up to two months. yeild: four scrubs.
