Actually if you have problems with clumps it's most likely your mascara is old. Get a mascara with the little rubber bristles. They get in between each hair and apply mascara without clumps. Truly an amazing invention. For your lower lashes use a flat brush, wipe it through your wand and apply with the brush to your lower lashes. You have more control over where exactly you want it and it goes on thinner. Always remember that cheap makeup has cheap quality, as with most things. And with all things consumable, old makeup is bad news. Last thing you ever want going near your eye is crusty outdated makeup. It could make for one heck of an infection.
I have very sensitive eyes and it seems like all of the great drugstore brands make my eyelids itchy. I bit the bullet and started trying department store mascaras and have been pleasantly surprised by a few (although the majority are not worth the price). My favorites are YSL Faux Cils, Too Faced Lash Injection, and Dior Show (this one caused a little irritation but looks amazing)!!
I have very long and thick lashes and so they clump together easily. I start from the base and move my mascara brush horizontally back and forth till I get to the top. It separates the lashes and they're left perfect! I've heard a lot of good things about Dior Show mascara. I myself use several different brands but when I apply it in that fashion they all work. Also, you might want to invest in an eyelash comb. Some mascaras come with them attached and they're great!!
I buy mascara that costs about 75cents.![]()
But if you clean the brush after every 5-7 uses it doesn't matter much what kind of mascara you buy. Also, I use the fake lashes so they never clump and if you buy the smaller sizes, they look pretty natural!
When I lived in the states all my make up was either cover girl or nutraginea (spelling?). They always worked pretty good on me!
the maybelline pink and green mascara really is where its at. However i have discovered that if you use the clear maybelline mascara(in green and clear tube) let it dry then do a slight eyelash curling, then put on the regular mascara your eyelashes look luscious. and they stay clump free and long all day. you should give it a try.
I saw this on Trya (god only knows when) but she said to roll the brush on a tissue and than tab the end. It avoids clumbs. I use Mac plush lash. No clumps at all. I also use a masscare prep.
of mascara. Never go out without it. My lashes are so straight, fine and wimpy. I've been using Mabelline XXL. One half is a white primer and the other half is the mascara. I must use waterproof too cuz I use an eyelash curler and regular mascara that contains water just straightens them right up. Anyway, you apply the white primer to the lashes first. This makes them plump up. You then apply the black and voila....pretty nice plump thick lashes.
try keeping your mascara in the fridge for a full 24 hours when you get it out of the package.....umm....before you go to bed....put a little bit of vasaline on your eye lids....the oil in it will run in on your eye lashes when you are sleeping..and your lashes will be very soft in the morning....

apply mascara to damp eye lashes
Use a mascara with a gloopy brush rather than a bristly one. Good ones are
rimmel magnifeyes
rimmel volume shock
and bourjois volume clubbing mascara (brilliant stuff)
apply one coat onto your eyelashes, dabbing the outside corner lashes with the tip of the brush.
if your eye lashes group together use a pair of tweezers to shape and separate them (wiping the mascara off each time so your tweezers don't leave clumpy dry bits on your lashes)
I hate not having perfect eye lashes so trust me ^^^ this works
