Try using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. That helped for me. (I have long stick straight hair) Never force your brush through your hair. Use a comb to get out tangles!!

I also try and get my hair at least trimmed every month or two and I have gone from tons of split ends to very few. I just started using Length & Strength leave-in anti-split end treatment by Garnier Fructis and I love it. It makes my hair feel super soft and not dry at all.

I haven't tried this but apparently if you leave mayo in your hair for 15 minutes it'll moisturise your hair lol let me know if you try it.

I don't know where you're from but do you have sun silk over there? I've just started using "silky straight" by sunsilk, it's really good! My hair is really soft and shiny. I've used sunsilk before and it made my hair dry and gave me dandruff but this particular one is great.

i had the same problem, my hair was chronically dry, tried a huge range of shampoo, conditioner, products, masks, you name it, i paid big $$ for it, all to no avail.

i started to supplement my diet with EFA's and switched to ...gasp...
pure soap to wash my hair and WOW... it feels awesome now, not more dry or split ends, easy to manage and it is just scrumptious now.
my hairdresser, who knew of my plight, was gobsmacked

i know heaps of people who do the same (which is how i learnt about it), some rinse their hair with vinegar water (1 Tbsp to one litre) because the water in their area is so hard, or just use rainwater.

not only is my hair soft now, but i am also laughing all the way to the bank, a bar of pure soap costs 50c and lasts for a month.
worth a try?

Do you use a conditioner too? What kind of soap? I might like to try this because I shell out quite a bit for my hair products...

I also have very dry hair. I think my main problem is mine is very processed. I have curly hair, and I've been chemicaly strightening it for years. I've stoped doing that to try and get it healthy again. I've been doing research online about getting healthier hair, and I think an important thing is what goes into your hair. Drinking lots of water, eating lots of good protien ect. I've also started taking a flaxseed oil vitamin and my hair looks a lot better.
