Thread: DESPERATE for BCP advice!!!

Since having my children over the last 5 years I had trouble finding a bcp that works for me. I have been on everything from marvelon, demulen, triphasil, loestrin to name a few including the depo shot for 6 months during which I bled every day!!! I was recenlty on Mirena which caused me to have the worst anxiety, depression, no libido, no zest for life...bottom line it was terrible! Prior to having children I was on Diane 35 which always worked for me with NO side effects. I tried it again after having my kids and it was awful...basically on all the pills I mentioned above I had depression, weight gain, moodiness etc. I went on Linessa 2 weeks ago after a few months of having the mirena out and once again i feel terrible . In the first week I gained 5 lbs and my boobs have grown a cup size!! I'm moody and depressed most likely from the weight gain and I have a constant bloated gassy feeling. Could it be that having children has changed my natural hormones which is causing all this. I would love to know if anyone has had any similar experiences or advice?

I believe it has ! I am in the same boat as you so my DH and I did NFP for 1.5 yrs and now he has gotten a vasectomy. All birth control made me sick to my stomach. The Mirena was the worst by far for me. I had all sorts of awful symptoms.
