    Default depo shot affecting my period

    i recently started usin the depo shot like in august this year, my period has changed beyond drastic and im abit worried. i was on my period for 2 weeks non stop and almost 2 weeks later im on my period again. is this normal or should i go see someone? is it possible that i might be reactin to the shot or something is wrong with my body. please help im desperate.

    My sister had that problem...she eventually just decided to go off of the shot...because she had her period for a YEAR straight,whereas I was on it for 6 years, and did not have a single period...go off of the shot...its apparantly pretty dangerous stuff.

    I bled constantly when I was on Depo. I didn't stay on it very long !

    I was on it for 5 years! Yes, I bled constantly for 2 or 3 months stiahgt but once I got my second shot I was fine.. never had a period again until recently.

    I bled constantly on the shot. I was bleeding for about 2 or 3 months. I almost had to have a blood transfusion because my hemoglobin was lower every time I saw my doctor (which was about once every 2 weeks so he could monitor my bleeding). Luckily, when it was time for my second shot, the bleeding stopped shortly thereafter. I did not get the second shot, I didn't want to risk it. Plus, it killed my sex drive. Yeah, it worked as a birth control, because I wasn't having sex! I wouldn't try it again. Injections are more risky, because it's not like you can rid your body of that contraceptive if you don't like it-you have to wait it out.
