While living overseas I had an IUD inserted 5 years ago. The doctor advised me this would need replacing in 5 years. Yesterday I went to my doctors in my home country and she inserted a new one... she didn't read her patient notes and forgot to remove the old one... she said she never detected another one there but potentially I have two and now have to go see a specialist. Im very scared that the old one could have disappeared which means I would potentially be infertile. Is it really possible to have two in there?
