I take Reclipsen, and I am at the end of week one. Four days ago I missed a pill, but the next day I took two at the same time. Yesterday I got my period--heavy bleeding, not just spotting. I have pretty intense pelvic pain--slightly more intense than what I experience during a normal period, and big clots, which I've never had.

Is it normal for one missed dose to cause me to get my period?

What should I do?? Should I stop taking them and allow myself to have my period?

If I keep taking my pills, is my period likely to stop? (My friend missed three days of pills once, but continued to take the next two weeks of her pack, and experienced spotting and pain the whole time).

I'd appreciate any other information you can give me that you feel is pertinent!

Hi Kate, and welcome to the Forum.

Firstly, it is my understanding that you should NEVER take two pills at once, if you miss one... (something i heard along time ago, yes I am on the pill).

But, I believe that if you change the pattern your body will straight away work with that change.

If you miss one, you miss one, use a Condom if you don't want to get pregnant for that period until your cycle starts again.

Don't take what happens to other people also, as what may happen to you, we are all different....

I think your body said oh oh and went into damage control personally.

As for pelvic pain isn't it wicked to be a woman? haha. Walk, even if it feels like you want to tear your stomach out, walk... breathe, each day, and watch that ease itself immensely.
