Thread: lost string

Good Afternoon....ok, i've had an IUD since Oct 2004 (mirena and due to be replaced next year) and had an "under the hood" check up today and she couldn't find it. No strings to be seen. she even pulled ou the little brush and tip toed just inside my uterus trying to sweep out the strings and still no luck. now.....i'm really not worried about this just curious what could cause this. i'm fertil mertyl so i know it's there and it's working. now i'm scheduled to have an ultrasound on wednesday to find it. Oh....she did say my uterus was a bit larger than it should be. any ideas on why this is? Thanks ladies

My doc couldn't find mine either, she said they were probably pushed up into my cervix due to intercourse. Kinda sucks not being able to check it. Then again, when I get those "cramps" that come along with it, I immediately know it's there hahaha.
