I didn't really know what to call this, but here goes.

I've been on birth control for about four months now and I've always taken it regularly. I am in college so I had to go home this past friday and grab some of things from home, but while I was there it snowed and I got stuck at home, for three days, missing three pills. They were the last three pills before the placebo pills. My doctor had told me that if I missed three or more pills to take one of the pills I missed plus the pill that I was suppose to take that day.

So I took one of the pills and my placebo pill like I was told. My boyfriend came home from college the day after my period [and I was still on the placebo pills] and we had sex. We used a condom and everything, just to be safe, but I'm pretty sure it broke because it was leaking. I couldn't really find a tear or anything in it, but it was leaking.

Anyway, I was just wondering if there is a great chance that I could end up pregnant now. It's only been two weeks since then, and I'm not really too worried, but I was wondering if anyone knows what the chances of me being pregnant are now.

    Thanks in advance.

How many days of your placebo did you miss? Total, I mean, not including your "makeup" day. If it's less than 7, you can assume you were just as protected as you would be normally and that you didn't ovulate. Especially if you have uniphase pills. That would leave you with the regular "risk rate" of somewhere near 1%.

I guess I mean, how many days did you miss or take a placebo pill total; it gives the same effect.

I went home on the fourth day of my third week, I missed the fifth, sixth, and seventh, day of my third week [active pills]. I then got home and took one of the active pills and one of the placebo pills.

Then four days later, I had sex, when the condom broke..

I would get one of the new pregnancy tests that gives results 5 days sooner...take it to see what you get...if you do come up pregnant, you will want to explore all of your options ASAP...the sooner the better...and for future reference, there is the Morning After or Plan B pill you can take within 72 hours of "unprotected" sex, just in case this happens to you again.

I never relied on condoms to keep me from getting pregnant, let alone protecting me from STDs...the failure rate is ridiculous...good luck...hopefully you won't be pregnant at this time in your life.
