    Not that simple sweet.

High dosage, low dosage, pends on what your body needs...

Only one person can answer that, and that would be your Doctor, after trial and error, so to speak... He/she may put you on a mild one, pills work with your periods remember, so you need to get, and make an appointment.

Also, this is something to add to your list.... It's a daily thing, must take every day, so make sure until you get used to taking them, that you have the packet somewhere, where you are not going to forget to take them.

And, man, don't forget you don't know where he's been so condom it.... (smile).....

Yes, I know he's a nice guy, blah, blah, but naturally, we want you to be safe.

    pftttt............................................ .....................

Why is it, that's it's our body but we allow men to tell us what to do?

Doesn't sound like the ACE I know.

It's okay for a man to not like condoms. Our generation has been baptized in the name of the "Holy Church of No Glove No Love" and are deluded into thinking either:
    1. No protection is acceptable; if you have sex before marriage OMG YOU DIE. Or ...
    2. A condom is the epitome of all birth controls and if you ever use a substitute OMG CHUR GONNA DIE FASTUR.
Ahem. A condom is great outside of a monogamous relationship because it protects against many STDs (not all, but many.) But they take sensation away from sex ... not just for the man but also for women (at least, it does big-time for me!) And what is sex supposed to be if it's not the maximum pleasure for both parties?
I think you've said you had tried a shot or other longer-term BC and you had problems. I urge you to try different pills. I use Ortho Tri Cyclen and it works like a charm, but I know other ladies on this board have had huge problems with the Ortho line of products. The opposite with Yaz ... it made me depressed and anxious, but for some women it's a godsend.
Look at the Wikipedia article about birth control effectiveness (it's got an easy-to-read chart with all the info you ought to need.) Especially check out the column with the average user statistics: those are the REAL statistics, not the clinical bleach-white lab percentages. Things like diaphragms seem to have a really low failure rate until you look at the average user, and it makes me come to the conclusion that they're hard to get used to. Never used them myself.

Of course, on a personal level, if you're continuing to ping-pong between boys, protect yourself and insist on a barrier method. Once you settle down, you can get tested and go from there.

Try to do some research online about different types. Like do you want a pill, a patch, the ring, ect. I would not recommend Depo to any one (the shot) it screwed me up bad and every one else that I know who took it. Try doing some research so that you have some idea of what you want when you head to your doctor.
