I started seasonique a little over a month ago. The day my period was to start I began spotting, not heavy at all. Seasonique had left me feeling terrible all month, headaches and sore breasts, so I called my md on Monday and switched to Loestrin. It has been over a week and I am still spotting. My periods used to last only four days at the most, so this is really annoying. My MD said this is normal and will stop as my body adjusts. I'm just wondering if any one else has been through this and how long the spotting will last. It makes me so self concious because it starts up each day and at different times. I'm in a new relationship and the whole experience has been embarrasing. It doesn't last long but it just makes me feel gross. Any similar experiences would be appreciated. Thanks!
I started Seasonique June 1st, I had break through bleeding/spotting alot. I had 10 day long painful period, then 10 days after that I had another 10 day long painful period, and its just been awful. My breast have been so tender, when I sleep I wake up in agony because they get super sore when I sleep. I talked to my doctor and he says its just break through bleeding, my body will adjust and stuff like that. I went from not having a period to bleeding for 21 days in a month or more. I trying to stick it out so that I can have 4 periods in a year but its tough right now. Not only have i been spotting or whatever, my blood this week has been brownish and getting darker, I never experienced that before, So, I'm researching and I'm kind of in a panic to find out more information. Taking birth control always give me pain in my pelvic/abdomen area, breast tenderness, fatigue, bloating, loss of apetite, etc. I was on Yasmin the year before and that had me extremly fatigued and bloated.
