I was on the pill for a month after being off it for the better part of a year. I spotted the whole month and didn't really have a period at the end of the cycle, just more spotting. I went to the doc and she told me that it may take 3 months for my body to adjust to the pill. I went off the pill because I didn't want to wait the 3 months. I was only on it to make my periods more regular for a few months before we tried to have a baby. Anyways, I've now been off it for a week and on Wed I noticed that I was bleeding. It looked more like my period than spotting but it's not as much as I would normally have. just a very light flow. It's been 3 days now that I've noticed this. Is this just my body's reaction to stopping the pill? Or perhaps a period to make up for the one that I didn't have? If it lasts longer than a week I plan to go back to the Dr but thought I would ask if this has happened to anyone else. I know that I've put a lot of stress my system by starting and stopping the pill so I'm guessing that's where this is coming from.
I was having just the opposite problem... i was on Yaz and when i came off I just stopped having periods... for almost 3 months. I kept thinking i was pregnant, i was going in almost every 2 weeks to re take one. So my doctor did some blood work and decided to put me on Prometrium for 10 days to induce a menstral period and make me ovulate. I'm not TTC but i wanted off those crazy pills.... Good Luck
