Question Off of Depo, are these side effects, or preg symptoms?

I have been on Depo for nearly a year, and had my last one in June. I decided not to continue with this type of BC as in the last month i was feeling extremely depressed, so it has now been nearly 6 months since i had it put in my system. I know that it can take forever to get out of your system, but it seems strange that i now seem to be getting "side effects" (apart from the depression i had no other problems).

For the past month or so i have been feeling sick, tired, peeing all the time, i have put on weight around my stomach, but have not been overeating...

I a wondering if i could be pregnant. I know that it is very unlikely, but there are plenty of people on forums who have fallen preg while on depo. I was wondering what you all make of this!

    Thanks!

First off, I am really glad to hear you stopped taking it. Wise choice!

Of course, it's possible to get pregnant no matter WHAT form of birth control you are using. So if you have been having sex, then yes, it's possible. Get a preg test from the grocery store to be sure.

Otherwise, those are all side effects of hormone changes caused by starting or stopping birth control. I took Depo, stopped because of the same reasons you did and then some, and it took years for my body to get back to normal. So don't be alarmed if it takes a while to feel "normal" again.

    Cool depo problems

Hey, I had a simular situation and was wondering if they were side effects or not. I have done 3 preg tests in the last month and are all negative. Feel kinda foolish going to the doctor incase they really are negative. I have had false positives before so I dont put to much faith in the home tests.
