Also, even if you are taking the pill or have changed brands and your hair didnt change at all could you say that so i know your hair was ok? I'm just freaking out that this is a 'normal' thing that happens to everyone now
Do you always experience hair loss when you go on the pill, or change to another pill or even come off it? the reason i ask is because i have been losing my hair (i dont know why) and i think i have to change my pill because it doesnt seem to be working quite so well anymore i get horrendeous sore boobs now and i never used to and other tiny little things that never used to be there and i am worried that changing pills will make me lose even more hair i am missing about 70 percent of my hair now anyway, i am so scared it will make it worse. i just wondered if anyone had an opinion on this
thank you

i've been on birthcontrol for many years. are you losing hair in clumps?? its normal to lose about 100 hairs a day i read. otherwise i dont think i lose more than that. i dont know if there is a correlation between hair loss and the pill
Smile...it's not so bad.
I always lose quite a bit any way and probably notice it more because its long and blonde but it doesnt seem to be growing back this time hense why my hair looks and feels a lot thinner now. i remember reading that hormones can cause hair loss i.e. being on the pill, changing the pill, or coming off the pill but i am bit confused why it would be happening when i have been on the same pill for 8 years
Hi. If you're losing your hair and have other little things happening to your body that you've never had before, I think it's a sign. Read your product profile that the pharmacist should have given you. What are some side effects? Losing more hair than normal is not a good sign! Did you know that the pill also decreases libido? perhaps even takes it away? Also increases rate of breast cancer by a huge percentage--can't remember how much. Google side effects of the pill. Oh, and the pill can also cause depression...
I am just a bit confused that if it is the pill why is it suddenly happening now after 8 years of being on this pill i cant work it out.
Hyperthyroidism is also related to hair loss. It also comes with overheating, body sweats, possibly heart palpitations, etc. I'd go to the dr. to get blood work done.
Yeah i have had my thyroid checked before, a few times in the past and the results have always come back normal. i had a blood test done on Friday to check iron levels so will hopefully get the results this week.
