Hi everyone. I'm new and concerned about an incident that happened last night.

My boyfriend and I have been having sex with a condom and birth control for 3 months. At the end of January, I switched from Tri-Legest to Ortho Tri-Cyclen.

I've just started my third month of Ortho. On Monday (the 4th pill of the new cycle), I had sex without a condom for the first time. Last night, while I was cleaning my room, I remembered searching through my purse to take my pill. I do not remember if I actually took the pill because I got distracted cleaning my purse out (I was cleaning my whole apartment).

About 2 hours later, I thought to take my pill again. I opened my birth control pack and noticed that the pill I was on was Tuesday. It suddenly occurred to me that I had went to my purse earlier, but couldn't remember if I had taken the pill or not. I'm concerned that I forgot because I'm usually very good about this!

If I had taken the pill the first time I searched my purse, that means I took Monday's pill on Tuesday, then took the second pill almost immediately after.

I'm worried that I could get pregnant. I usually take the pill at 11PM, and I was also an hour late. I remember reading that I should be okay if I take two pills in one day to get back on schedule, but again, I can't remember if I took two pills about 2 hours apart from one another.

Do I need to take plan B or am I covered since my next pill is definitely for tonight?

One thing's for sure: I'm going to talk to my boyfriend about this scare and I will be going back to condom + BC.
